VISION & MISSION STATEMENT

The Vision and Mission of the Adkins Family Foundation is to provide badly needed resources to change the circumstances and thus the lives of people of color and those in need, trapped in inner cities and under-served communities. Coming from a faith-based perspective, the goal is to promote and build self-esteem and facilitate the realization of individual dreams that will help transform the lives’ of at-risk children.  Thus,  reducing the inequities they face on a daily basis living in marginalized areas.

Dr. Dominique Adkins, Ed.D, LPC, NCC, ACS - The President and CEO: is a licensed professional counselor and approved clinical supervisor. After completing her undergraduate work at Georgetown University (HOYA SAXA!), Dominique obtained her Ed.D in Counselor Education & Supervision and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University. Dominique has a multicultural and positive psychology research background with vast clinical and assessment experience working in both residential and outpatient settings with clients of all ages with co-occurring disorders. She is currently full time online faculty for the Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral program and Clinical Mental Health masters program at Grand Canyon University.

William H. Adkins - Chairman & COO: affectionately known as Bill is oddly enough highly regarded for both his spiritual leadership and strong business acumen. Most recently, he helped spearhead a start-up technology company – automotiveMastermind specializing in predictive analytics for the automotive industry. Through his extensive industry contacts he helped the company grow from (7) employees and 8 clients to well over 300 employees and 1,200 clients. This led to a $500 million merger with IHS Markit a major industry player. He has an extensive automotive background that includes 10-years at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) as a professor training prospective dealer candidates and 19-years as an automobile dealer at Palanker Chevrolet in Babylon, New York. He started his career working for the General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC) and over a 15-year span held numerous increasingly important positions including ones at General Motors (GM) ranging from Credit Representative to District Manager. He has also held positions with Volkswagen of America (VW) and Union City Body Company.

Pauline Adkins Executive Vice President Communications: began her professional career working for Ameritech Publishing (AT&T) in the Marketing Department handling corporate giving. She coordinated the giving program, prepared annual budgets, recommended annual grants and sponsoring community activities. Heeding the call of entrepreneurship, she and her husband Bill pursued his lifelong dream of owning and operating his own automotive dealership. They ultimately purchased and successfully operated Palanker Chevrolet in W. Babylon, New York – the countries highest selling Corvette dealership at the time. She managed all administrative, office and customer relations based activities including community outreach and support. Continuing along the customer service line she spent 8 years working in various customer service related capacities at a large luxury retailer known for its' exceptional customer service. Today she runs her own company – Gen R LLC where she provides consulting services to clients utilizing her vast amount of knowledge and experience garnered from her journey.

W. Alvin Jackson -  Senior Vice President Marketing:  has a 25 year track record of Global Sales and Marketing with experience in all phases of Domestic and International Operations. He has worked for major corporations such as the Lincoln-Mercury division of Ford Motor Company; Volkswagen of America; Chrysler Corporation (International Operations) and CDK Global formerly ADP Dealer Services. His experience includes an extensive B2B background with Multi-Nationals; overseeing Government Sales at the Federal, State and local levels; living overseas in Paris responsible for sales and marketing for France and Spain as well directing Technology Solutions sales to Toyota Motors USA. Additional skills include oversight for worldwide Advertising Agencies. Knowledgeable and experienced with P & L, M & A’s, Distributor and Dealer Franchise Operations, Turn-a-rounds, Buy-outs, Channel Development & Management and Strategic Initiatives  .

Dr. Christopher J. Clark, DDS -  Hails from the New York/ New Jersey area is a practicing dentist in the Raleigh - Durham, North Carolina area. He is the owner/operator of upwards of 5 - 8 highly successful dental practices in parts of the Research Triangle area. After establishing himself in the area and opening his first practice he decided to expand his operations by offering newly graduated dentist the opportunity to partner with him. He created a unique program that took into consideration their desire to build equity while at the same time address their need to pay-off the tremendous amount of student-debt they were burdened with. In 2018 he was awarded the Patients' Choice Award, a recognition that reflects the difference a physician has made in the lives of his/her patients. The honor is bestowed upon physicians who have received near perfect scores, as voted by patients.
